2019’s MYOB Woman Entrepreneur of the Year and a 2019 New Zealander of the Year finalist, uber-multitasker Lisa King is something of a one-woman self-improvement tornado. Co-founder of the world-changing Eat My Lunch programme that puts food into hungry student mouths, she embarked on a mission in 2020 to up the game of the non-alcoholic drinks industry.

Once a big fan of the ubiquitous G&T, Lisa wanted to dial her alcohol consumption setting back to ‘occasional’, but not ready to totally abandon her affection for said tipple, she set about creating a drink to satisfy both her taste for a well-made G&T and her taste for an alcohol-free option.

And voila, we now have AF Drinks (short for Alcohol Free and some other phrase on the tip of our tongue), and the alcohol-free G&T Classic, G&T Cucumber and G&T Pink Grapefruit and Rose. Time eventually moved on, and the mixed G&Ts in their 330ml cans now sit alongside a bright array of non-alcoholic options that includes such mixological delights as the Grapefruit Margarita, Zero Sugar Vodka Spritz, Tokyo Highball, Cuba Libre, Sparkling Rose and Sparkling Sake.
